Microneedling Overview
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This process stimulates the natural healing response of the skin, leading to increased collagen and elastin production. Microneedling is commonly used to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and fine lines, as well as to promote overall skin rejuvenation.
What are the Common Uses of Microneedling?
Microneedling is routinely used in treating Acne Scarring, Pore Appearance, Stretch Mark Appearance, Fine Lines & Wrinkles, and Hair Loss. Microneedling is considered a minimally invasive, low-downtime procedure to improve overall Skin Tone & Texture. Microneedling can result in a smoother and more even complexion.
What Microneedling Device do you use?
Here at Splendid Skin, we offer microneedling treatment with SkinPen®. SkinPen® has an exceptional commitment to safety & efficacy as the industry’s first FDA-cleared microneedling device. SkinPen® has been recognized on a multitude of platforms and recently was awarded the 2023 NEW BEAUTY award.
Do you offer PRP with your microneedling sessions?
YES! We offer PRP (Platelet-rich Plasma) infusion with our MN treatments. PRP contains a high concentration of platelets, which release growth factors that play a crucial role in tissue regeneration and repair. Ask a provider about the many benefits of PRP.
How many treatments do I need?
You are likely to see results in as little as one treatment but will obtain a greater degree of improvement with a series of 3 or more treatments.
Does Microneedling hurt?
Without a numbing agent, most likely. Fortunately, our treatment involves a topical numbing cream that virtually eliminates discomfort!
What is the downtime for Microneedling?
Microneedling has minimal downtime. The treatment area is usually red/pink for 2-4 days. Ask a provider about post-care treatment options.
How much does Microneedling cost?
Treatments typically start around $350. Purchasing sessions in packages of 3 or more increases savings!
